The Fermanagh Camino returns from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd May 2026, inviting walkers and supporters to take part in a truly special journey through some of Ireland’s most beautiful landscapes, all for a cause that matters.

What’s New for 2026

The 2026 Fermanagh Camino has been re-imagined with wider appeal — breaking the route into three distinct daily walks that are easy to plan around and welcoming to walkers of various fitness levels.

Over three days you can choose to walk:

• Day 1: Lough Derg → Finn Lough (12 miles)
• Day 2: Belcoo → Boho (13 miles)
• Day 3: Colebrooke Estate → Topped Mountain (14 miles)

Each day offers unique scenery and atmosphere, from shores and forests to rural roads and open countryside, all fully supported with comfort stops, safety support, and group camaraderie.

Whether you walk all three days or pick one or two that suit your schedule, this year’s Camino is about community, wellness, and taking time for reflection.

Why We Walk: Charity and Wellness

At its heart, the Fermanagh Camino is for good. Every registration helps raise vital funds for Cancer Connect NI, directly supporting people facing cancer and their families through practical services, emotional care, and meaningful community connections across Fermanagh and beyond.

But the Camino is about more than fundraising alone. It is also a space for well-being, reflection, and connection. Walking side by side through Fermanagh’s natural landscapes offers time to slow down and step away from the pace of everyday life. For many, the Camino becomes a chance to clear their mind, reconnect, and find comfort in shared experience. End of Day Gatherings & Where to Stay

The Camino isn’t just about the route — moments after the walk are also apart of the experience. Alongside partner venues offering food and rest, you’ll find warm hospitality waiting when you finish your day.

A highlight for many participants is the growing social calendar around the event, with local venues hosting gatherings like music and meet-ups. In Enniskillen, The Westville Hotel provide a great place to unwind, connect with fellow walkers, and swap stories over dinner or a drink after a rewarding day of walking.

Looking Back: Last Year’s Camino

Last year’s Fermanagh Camino captured hearts with participants walking together through stunning lakeside views, countryside, and historic sites, forging connections with place, people, and purpose. The event wasn’t just about miles logged but community. As walkers made their way from Lough Derg to Enniskillen, they raised vital funds and awareness for Cancer Connect NI, a charity providing practical and emotional support to people and families affected by cancer in the Fermanagh region. The Fermanagh Camino raised an amazing £41,000 for Cancer Connect NI in 2025.

Through individual and team fundraising on platforms like JustGiving, last year’s Camino saw generous support from walkers and donors alike. Numbers climbed impressively, with many participants raising well beyond their targets.
