Cyclist competing in the Fermanagh Endurance Adventure Race in County Fermanagh.

Date: Saturday 26th September 2026

The Fermanagh Endurance Adventure Race (FEAR) is a unique multi-sport challenge set in the wild and rugged landscapes of County Fermanagh, offering competitors an unforgettable adventure through one of Ireland’s most spectacular natural environments.

Taking place within the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark, FEAR immerses participants in a dramatic limestone and sandstone landscape shaped over 330 million years ago and carved by Ireland’s glacial past. The route winds through quiet back roads, forest trails, lough shores and steep mountain terrain, delivering a true test of endurance and spirit.

Competitors will face three disciplines — cycling, trail running and kayaking — as they tackle both land and water. Highlights include a 2km kayak section along Lough Erne’s rocky shoreline and the iconic Magho Cliff Challenge, featuring a near-vertical 1,000ft climb rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
