The Westville Hotel COVID-19 Health & Safety Promise
We are actively monitoring the current COVID-19 situation and taking into consideration recommended guidelines.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is of upmost priority and we will take all the necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare.
We ask all our guests to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting the Westville Hotel. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including:
- Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze, and immediately sanitise your hands afterwards.
- Discarding of used tissues immediately.
- Washing your hands with soap and hot water regularly, and using hand sanitiser gel.
- Avoid close unnecessary contact with people who are unwell.
We have introduced the following steps to our Westville Hotel COVID-19 Health & Safety Promise:
1. Flexible Booking Policy:
We have temporarily changed our cancellation policy to include a COVID-19 clause. Should you develop any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you do not attempt to travel. Instead, we will offer you the option of changing the date of your reservation or holding your existing payment as credit against a future booking. We have also reduced the cancellation period to 24 hours notice, this provides our guests with the confidence to book knowing they have the flexibility to cancel. This does not apply to pre-paid / non-refundable bookings.
2. Enhanced Safety & Cleanliness in Public Areas:
All our staff will be visible wearing face coverings whilst working in public areas. We would also ask that our visitors and guests wear face coverings indoors as per government advice, except when seated at a table in one of our food and beverage outlets.
Hand sanitisers are available for our team members and guests use upon entry. They are also dotted around the hotel at all high touch point areas.
3. Stay & Explore at the Westville Hotel:
Our professional housekeeping team are provided with the PPE needed to keep them safe as they clean our public areas and sanitise and clean our guest bedrooms. Our team are trained in the best cleaning practices.
We use separate cleaning cloths in between each serviced room to ensure that there is no spread via cleaning materials. We also use COVID-19 approved cleaning products for all of our high touch areas to ensure that they are fully sanitised.
Our team do not re-enter our guest rooms after it has been fully cleaned, sanitised and double checked.
4. Wine & Dine at the Westville
Our bar and restaurant seating plans have been changed to aid with social distancing requirements. Our menus have been changed to paper disposable menus which we will discard after each use.
Our breakfast buffets have been reduced, this is now served alongside our existing freshly made order to hot plated offering. In order for us to manage your time at Breakfast with ask you book a slot in advance. This applies to lunch & dinner also. This system allows us to manage the volume of guests and to ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.
Our dining areas will provide table service only. Our table layouts abide by social distancing guidelines, creating a safe environment for everyone.
